MacBook Air: An Obsession with Thin

Announced at MacWorld yesterday, the MacBook Air is an ultra-thin laptop that is… well… ultra-thin. It skimps out in almost every other facet from storage to expansion ports and still has the same footprint as larger thicker models.

Kevin Naits put together a great little video montage poking fun at the obsessive nature of the thin MacBook. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate that you can put this bad boy in a manila envelope and be none the wiser that there’s a whole computer in there (well, most of a computer)… The video is quite funny though.

Hidden Details in OS X Leopard

I found an interesting bit of hidden text in OS X. The icon for “TextEdit” actually contains legible text if you can enlarge it enough to read.

This is in addition to the other little “hidden gem”… Those cute kids in Cupertino thought it would be cute to paint every non-mac computer with the Blue Sceen of Death… funny… Cobalt (seen below) is running Ubuntu 7.10…..

I wonder what other hidden gems might be waiting for me… a working flash player perhaps?

Windows ME & The Ballmer Peak

OK, I realize I don’t post up silly stuff very often (some would say not often enough), but when I read tonight’s xkcd comic, I burst out laughing. I have a bit of a hate on for Windows ME, and when I read this… well lets just say that could have been me sitting in the audience. ((pun fully intended))
