Free Hug Day in Vancouver

I just caught this over on Rebecca’s blog at Miss604.com, and it made me smile. Yesterday was Free Hug Day in Vancouver. Apparently I should have worked from the downtown office yesterday. Here’s hoping that some of this goodwill will carry forward.

BC Launches Technology Recycling

Beginning August 1st, 2007 the Province of BC has started a technology recylcing program. Titled the “E-Waste Stewardship Program” it will allow BC residents to take their old electronics including: This marks a great step forward in helping to curb the amount of tech-trash entering BC landfills. Though I’ve moved out of Surrey, I still consider myself a Surrey-boy at heart.
